2026 marks two very special milestones for Wolverhampton Voluntary & Community Action (WVCA): 20 years of SUIT and 10 years of our Social Prescribing Service.

We’d love you to join us for a special celebration bringing together the people who have helped shape, support and benefit from these two important services over the years.

Since 2006, SUIT has provided support to people using drug treatment services in Wolverhampton, developing an approach built around lived experience, peer support and helping people make positive changes in their lives.

Ten years later, WVCA expanded its impact by developing its Social Prescribing Service, working alongside PCN teams across Wolverhampton to connect people with community support, activities, and services that enhance health and wellbeing.

A chance to celebrate – and reconnect

This event is about much more than marking two anniversaries.

It’s an opportunity to celebrate the people, partnerships, stories and achievements behind both services and recognise the difference they have made to people across Wolverhampton.

We’ll be bringing together current and former staff, service users and beneficiaries, partners, GPs, commissioners and other people who have been part of the journey.

The day will be professional but informal and welcoming, with plenty of opportunity to reconnect with familiar faces, meet others, share memories and hear about the impact of both services.

What to expect?

We’re currently putting together the programme for the day, which will include contributions from people involved with SUIT and Social Prescribing past and present, alongside opportunities to reflect on their achievements and look towards the future.
