Please join us for our conference: ‘Domestic Homicide Reviews: Exploring the role of families, friends and communities’ hosted by WWIN Specialist Domestic Abuse Service on Wednesday 22nd May 2024 at Sunderland City Hall.
The conference offers a valuable opportunity to explore the role of families and wider-testimonial networks in DHRs, understand the gaps and more importantly, to make a pledge on what we can all do to improve this system.
We welcome DHR Chairs, Community Safety Managers, Commissioners, Panel members, practitioners and family members that contribute to the compilation of reports in so many ways.
Speakers include:
Frank Mullane MBE - Founder and CEO, AAFDA
Becky Rogerson MBE - CEO, WWIN.
Michelle O’Rourke - Domestic Homicide Oversight Mechanism Lead, Domestic Abuse Commissioner Office.
Nicki Norman - Interim Deputy CEO, AAFDA. Presenting the research report, DHRs: the role of family, friends and community.
Grace Wilson - Community Engagement Coordinator, Alice Ruggles Trust.
Laura - Family member speaker.
Dr Catherine Donovan - Professor of Sociology and Head of Department at Durham University. Chairing the conference.
