WWOOF Taster Day SWINDON 4th October 2025

You'll have the opportunity to visit for the day and speak with experienced hosts Matt and Andrea about the WWOOF organisation in general and what a typical experience might look like. Then you'll have the chance to get stuck in to some hands-on activities yourself. As it's October, this might well involve apples!

Lunch and drinks will be provided, and we will be asking for your dietary and other requirements.

Cost is £15 per person but after the Taster Day, you'll be given a code to so you can sign up as a member at a 40% discount. Normal price is £25 per person so you'll only pay £15 for a year's membership.

LSF (as we sometimes call ourselves), is a bustling place with lots going on! Two to six of us live here, and there are helpers who live locally, including from the local refugee support centre. We run a residential centre for courses and learning holidays, and a meeting place for various local groups. We have 3 acres of garden, outbuildings and paddocks. Hens, ducks, Kune kune pigs, and a few sheep. Vegetables grown on raised beds and in a polytunnel. Welcome first time WWOOFers, and would appreciate WWOOFers with building maintenance skills to help mend leaky roofs etc! We spend a lot of time in the vegetable garden, there is early morning animal feeding, and mucking out. Help is also with cooking meals for everyone, and cleaning in the shared areas.. Always lots of washing up.
