November’s lineup includes Luisa Omielan (Live at the Apollo), Ben Norris (Mock the Week), Alice Brine (Jonathan Ross’ Comedy Club) Paul Pirie (Scottish Comedian of the Year Finalist).
TV credits include Live at the Apollo, Miranda, Alan Davies: As Yet Untitled & The John Bishop Show. Her solo shows are like events. ’Am I Right Ladies?!’ has had numerous sell-out runs, received five-star reviews, and one of its jokes has notched up over 40 million views. It follows ‘What Would Beyoncé Do?!’ which has been called “one of the top UK comedy shows of the last decade” by The Guardian.
“The term “circuit legend” is overused, but Norris is one of a handful that have been headlining for more than two decades and rarely departs a stage without leaving it torn to shreds in his wake. A master of the craft, this will be an hour of the most polished stand-up you’re likely to see.” – The Guardian “The London-based stand-up has been touring steadily for the past two decades, and he’s developed a razor sharp act in the process; with the notable exception of Jason Byrne, it’s hard to think of anyone on the circuit who works an audience with as much skill and flair.” – The Scotsman
Her honest, candid and likeable onstage persona saw her popularity grow and it wasn’t long before she was hand-picked to support Alan Carr on his tour of the South Pacific. Since then, she’s appeared on a raft of shows including 7 Days (the New Zealand equivalent of Mock the Week) and 8 out of 10 Cats. “Right from the start, Alice hits the nail on the head.” – U.S. Teen Vogue
Paul Pirie is a stand-out Scottish stand-up comedian. His physical, theatrical presence on stage and his sharp, rapid-fire comedy onslaught is packed with highly entertaining material, blurring the line between real-life anecdotes and flights of fancy. A confident and intelligent comedian, Paul is a regular performer at the UK’s best comedy clubs and has performed across the world, from Australia to shows for the armed forces in Iraq and Afghanistan.
