Community Screening organised by Wycombe Community & Climate Café
What is happening with climate and nature, and what does it mean for everyday life in the UK and for us locally?
Join us for a screening of the People’s Emergency Briefing, an eye-opening film bringing together nine leading UK scientists and experts with the latest evidence and why it matters for things like:
🌧️ Extreme weather
🍞 Food security
🏥 Health
💷 Cost of living
The film is based on the National Emergency Briefing in Westminster (featured by ITV, Channel 4 and The Times) with appearances from Chris Packham, Jennifer Saunders, Deborah Meaden, and a range of voices from across the UK.

Doors will open at 19.00 The screening will start at 19.15 following a short introduction and the film then runs for 50 minutes. The screening will be followed by a discussion of our reaction to the film and possible responses, including what it means for our community and what we can do locally, additional to the NEB's concluding requests. Hopefully the post screening discussion will generate interest in discovering existing opportunities to actively do something that addresses the diverse issues raised. We expect the discussion and evening will conclude by 21.00.
Please note: The film covers the serious, evidence-based threats of climate breakdown to UK national security, food systems, and health. Because the content is quite sobering and alarming, the film has a 16+ recommendation so please do not bring younger children.
Seats are free but limited, so please book your spot in advance.
Bring a friend, a neighbour, a partner, or family members. Everyone is welcome.
Accessibility: The screening is at St. Andrews Church which is fully wheelchair accessible with on site car parking.
