Whether you are new to growing cut flowers and want to plan a cutting garden, an experienced gardener or you are thinking about growing to sell from your garden gate - we will walk your through a floral journey.
We’ll cover planning where to site your plot, planting schemes, share our favourite seed suppliers, discuss, essential equipment, pros and cons of greenhouses and tunnels etc. we’ll also recommend peat-free compost from our own trials, dig free methods, talk about harvesting seeds and perfect propagation. Encouraging pollinators and avoiding pests, as well as companion planting.
The afternoon will focus on growing the key ingredients to make stunning arrangements and gift bouquets, with a spiral hand-tie bouquet demo. As well as picking and conditioning tips to get the best vase life.
You’ll take away, lists of our favourite flower growing books, best floral podcasts and industry suppliers. As well as our top 10 ‘must have’ flowers for a cutting garden and essential kit list.
