26 Adelaide Street, Fleetwood, FY7 6AB
Description
Market House Studios “Pride and Place Project” is about developing creative links and supporting local development within the artistic community at large. Establishing Fleetwood as a creative hub and destination for the arts in the UK.
This project is showcasing four very different regional and local artists to conduct workshops at the studios. Each artist is a specialist in their own field and brings something new and fresh to the project. Each four series of seven workshops will culminate into four exhibitions at the gallery in Fleetwood Market.
All the workshops will be based on the “Pride & Place” theme through participatory sessions, public talks, workshops and exhibitions. The project will enable attendees and artists to collaborate creatively as a flagship for tackling social isolation and promoting well-being. The session involves a "Young Peoples Workshop" with Izzy Durose.
The programme will explore positive aspects of the area as part of the celebration of Fleetwood people and its heritage.
Workshops are free but spaces are limited so booking is essential. People who do not book and do not have a valid ticket will be turned away. If for some reason you can’t make the booking and have to cancel, please inform our team as soon as possible to allow others to attend.
