Abbeystead Spring Walk

A scenic circular spring walk beginning at Stoops Bridge, proceeding past the school to join the river at the weir. The route follows the riverside path, crosses the river, and ascends toward Catshaw Farm before descending through fields to re-join the main road back to Stoops Bridge. The walk includes moderate inclines, stiles, and some off-path sections. We will pause occasionally to appreciate the views and explore points of historical interest.

Grade: Moderate Distance: 4.5 miles

What to Bring With You:

• Please wear outdoor clothing and footwear appropriate to the weather conditions.
• Any medication required.
• Stout footwear – flip flop style footwear not allowed.
• A drink and snacks.

All chargeable activities need to be paid for in advance at the time of booking. All activities are non-refundable. We are unable to take cash payments.

POOR WEATHER

A ranger/walk leader will be at the start of an activity whatever the weather. In extreme conditions, the leader of the group will take a decision on the day whether or not cancel.
