Abbeystead Summer Walk

A scenic circular summer walk beginning at Stoops Bridge, passing through fields to Lower Lee Farm, and continuing to the War Memorial and church. After crossing the river, the route leads to Catshaw Farm and across to Hawthornthwaite, before rejoining the main road back to Stoops Bridge. The walk includes moderate inclines, stiles, and some off-path sections. We will pause at key points to appreciate the views and explore local historical features.

What to Bring With You:

• Please wear outdoor clothing and footwear appropriate to the weather conditions.
• Any medication required.
• Stout footwear – flip flop style footwear not allowed.
• A drink and snacks.

All chargeable activities need to be paid for in advance at the time of booking. All activities are non-refundable. We are unable to take cash payments.

POOR WEATHER

A ranger/walk leader will be at the start of an activity whatever the weather. In extreme conditions, the leader of the group will take a decision on the day whether or not cancel.
