Grizedale Brook and Reservoir Amble

Beginning at Grizedale Bridge, the trail descends into the Grizedale Valley and passes through Holme Wood. It emerges at the base of the reservoir, then turns left toward Slean End. After crossing the footbridge, the route ascends toward the Barnacre masts, concluding with a short road walk back to the car park.

• Please wear outdoor clothing and footwear appropriate to the weather conditions.
• Any medication required.
• Stout footwear – flip flop style footwear not allowed.
• A drink and snacks.

A ranger/walk leader will be at the start of an activity whatever the weather. In extreme conditions, the leader of the group will take a decision on the day whether or not cancel.
