We are delighted to have you join us for the Wyre Moving More 2k family fun run in Partnership with Ron's Run. This charity fun run is designed for everyone — whether you want to walk, run, jog or wheel, all are welcome to participate and enjoy the experience at your own pace. Instead of an entry fee - a small food donation would be greatly appreciated in aid of a brilliant local foodbank, Fleetwood Pantry. Just bring your donation to the event, where we will be collecting to give them to the foodbank.

Our event is on the promenade at Fleetwood and starts at the Marine Hall at 6pm, and is about people coming together, being active and having fun. It doesn’t matter if you’re a seasoned runner, a casual jogger or someone who prefers a walk with family and friends. Parents with buggies, wheelchair users and dog owners with their pets on leads are all encouraged to join in the fun!

Can I participate with a buggy or stroller?

Yes, participants are welcome to push a buggy or stroller. We ask that you start at the back to ensure the safety of all runners and walkers.

Are dogs allowed on the course?

Yes, dogs on leads are welcome to join the fun run. Please ensure your dog is well-behaved and remains on a lead at all times. Don't forget to bring bags to clean up after your pet.

Is there a minimum age for participants?

There is no minimum age for the fun run, making it a family-friendly event. Children under the age of 16 will need to be accompanied by an adult.

Do I need to register in advance?

While some events allow for on-the-day registration, we recommend registering in advance to secure your spot and skip the registration queue on the day.

What should I wear?

Wear comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing and good running shoes. 

Will there be water stations?

Yes, there will be water available along the course and at the finish line. Participants are also encouraged to bring their own water bottles.

Are there toilets available?

Yes, there will be toilets available within Fleetwood YMCA.

What time should I arrive?

It's a good idea to arrive at least 15-30 minutes before the start time to find parking, sign in and have a warmup. 

Is there parking available?

Yes, there will be designated parking areas for participants. 

What happens in the event of poor weather conditions?

This event should typically be able to go ahead in most weather conditions. If the weather conditions are poor, the event organisers will make a decision and notify participants via email and social media.

Is there a charity component?

Participants are encouraged to make a small food donation as part of their entry.
