The program brings together two of India's most vibrant classical art forms—Bharatanatyam, renowned for its grace, rhythm, and expressive storytelling, and Yakshagana, the colorful and dynamic dance-drama tradition of Karnataka. Yakshagana – The Proud Art Form of Karnataka.
Yakshagana is a vibrant and powerful traditional theatre form of Karnataka, where dance, music, dialogue, costume, and storytelling come together in a spectacular visual and emotional experience. Rooted in ancient Indian epics like the Ramayana and Mahabharata, Yakshagana brings heroic tales, moral values, and philosophical ideas alive on stage.
What makes Yakshagana unique are its magnificent costumes (vesha), towering headgear (kirita), bold facial makeup, and expressive movements. The rhythmic beats of the chande and maddale, the melodic singing of the bhagavatha, and the powerful dialogues together create an immersive theatrical world.
More than just a performance, Yakshagana is a celebration of Karnataka’s cultural identity, passed down through generations with pride and devotion. It reflects the creativity, discipline, and spiritual depth of the land and its people.
We are immensely proud of Yakshagana—not only as an art form, but as a living heritage of Karnataka that continues to inspire, educate, and connect audiences across the world.
Vidhi -
Can man truly defeat fate…?
or does Vidhi smile while allowing him to believe he can?
In the world decided by fate, every step taken to escape fate only pulls man closer to it.
A child marked by destiny survives death again and again, while a powerful mind named Dushtabuddi wages war against Vidhi itself. With intelligence, politics, deception, and cruelty, he believes fate can be rewritten by human will. But destiny watches silently.
A letter meant to kill becomes the reason for a royal rise. Enemies unknowingly become protectors. Every trap laid in darkness turns toward the one who created it.
And through it all, Chandrahasa walks not as a conqueror, but as a man carried by unseen divine design.
