A hands-on hair workshop for dads, brought to you by MOP at Yalm!

Join Lucy from MOP – Hair and Wellbeing for Little Humans at Yalm for Dads, Drinks & Do's, a relaxed, fun and practical workshop designed to give dads and father figures the confidence to tackle everyday hairstyles. Grab a drink, meet other dads and learn some genuinely useful skills in a friendly, pressure-free environment. No experience needed and absolutely no judgement! 

Ever found yourself staring at your little one's hairbrush, wondering where on earth to start? 

Whether it's ponytails, plaits or getting everyone out the door on a school morning without a hair-related meltdown, we've got you covered!

Hair we go!

🙌 A relaxed social evening – Have a laugh, pick up practical tips and meet other dads learning the same skills.

🍷 A drink on us! – Your ticket includes a beer, glass of wine or soft drink to enjoy during the session.

✂️ Haircare basics – Understanding different hair types, choosing the right brushes and gently tackling tangles.

🎀 Ponytails, plaits & buns – Master simple everyday styles, from a neat ponytail to three-strand plaits and easy school-day buns.

💇 Hands-on practice – Everyone gets their own mannequin head to practise on, with brushes, accessories and styling products provided.

After the session, feel free to grab a bite to eat - the room is booked for the whole evening if you'd like to stay and socialise.

A new monthly event at YALM

Dads, Drinks & Dos will be running every last Wednesday of the month, giving more dads the chance to get involved, learn new skills and enjoy a well-deserved evening out. Whether you're a complete beginner or just want to improve your plaiting technique, come along and give it a go.

Please note: 

This is an adult workshop. All hair practice takes place on mannequin heads. Additional drinks and food are available to purchase from Yalm. 

We will be running Daddy, Daughter and Do's daytime sessions during the school holidays to put your practice into action!
