reVive // Guided Retreat Day

Rooted in Scripture. Room to breathe.

“Most of us have more good teaching in our heads or our notebooks than we've had time to absorb.

reVive retreats are different. Each day is built around three sessions that go deep into Scripture - sitting with the text long enough to let Christ speak through it. Around them though, we build in genuine space: for reflection, for quiet, for the kind of processing and conversation that actually changes things.

The goal isn't more content. It's knowing ourselves more honestly and Christ more clearly, that we might love him more and be more deeply shaped into his image”

Advent is a season of waiting, longing, and preparation - a time to slow down and attend again to the coming of Christ. Yet the weeks leading up to Christmas can easily become crowded with noise, activity, and pressure.

This guided retreat day invites us to enter Advent through the words of Mary’s song, the Magnificat. In Luke 1:39–56, we encounter a young woman whose quiet faith opens into praise, trust, humility, and hope in God’s promises. Her song speaks of a topsy-turvey kingdom where the proud are scattered, the humble are lifted, and God remembers His mercy generation after generation.

Through three short reflections on this passage, we will explore themes of waiting, surrender, joy, and the surprising ways God works in the world. The emphasis of the day will not be on busyness or activity, but on creating space: space for prayer, silence, contemplation, and renewed attentiveness to Christ during the Advent season.

Set within the quiet rhythms of the Manor, this retreat offers an opportunity to prepare not merely for Christmas celebrations, but for deeper communion with the God who comes to dwell among us.

Come and prepare your heart afresh for the coming of Christ.
