Join our practical workshop on why and how to fix draughts around your home - from doors to windows and beyond. Please note that any York resident on a low income is eligible for a free draught-proofing service from York Energy Advice - just fill in a referral form to express interest.

Otherwise, get hands on and learn tricks that can help you make your home warmer this winter with Camilla Govan, experienced "draught-buster" from Wrapt Homes:

During the workshop you will learn how to identify common sources of draughts in the home and how to tackle them using simple, effective DIY solutions. The materials provided support hands on learning, helping you build practical skills and feel empowered to make changes to your own home. During the session we will also provide a basic guide to the importance of ventilation and airtightness, and how to balance both to keep your home healthy and comfortable.

There will also be a chance to get some bespoke advice, share your experiences or tips and find out more about York Energy Advice, including our peer support scheme and thermal imaging services.

No prior experience is needed, the workshop is open to all - regardless of the type or ownership of home. Event costs and entry fees are covered by public funding.
