Introduction for Home Upgrade Champions

This is an introductory session for York residents interested in joining our emerging Home Upgrade Champions network. The evening will be a chance to find out more about the project and what support is available, to ask questions and meet others with similar interests including our project team. 

You do not need to be an expert in things like insulation, heat pumps or energy systems. Lived experience, local knowledge, and community connections are just as valuable. Come along if you are passionate about:

• reducing energy usage and bills
• making homes healthier, more comfortable and planet-friendly
• supporting your neighbours and community

Light vegetarian/vegan buffet will be provided. Deadline for booking a place is Monday 13th July.

The project is a partnership between York Community Energy, University of York, Stockholm Environment Institute and Abundance Investment; supported by David Skaith, Mayor of York and North Yorkshire and part-funded by York and North Yorkshire Combined Authority.
