Our latest project explores how community-owned energy generation could provide a cleaner future for the East Coast Main Line. We’re exploring the feasibility of connecting renewable energy generation to supply power directly through the feeder station at Hambleton Junction, and we want to ensure that if and when renewables are connected to the railways, the local community will be the main beneficiaries.
Join us for a public meeting about the project at Hambleton Village Hall from 10:30am - 11:30am for:
- Updates from the project
- A chance to ask more questions of the project team
- A chance to give feedback on our draft social feasibility report
This meeting will be followed by a drop-in session running from 11:30am until 1pm - pop in to the Main Hall to find out more about the project and share your views. The project team will be available to give more detail about the project, answer questions, and record feedback.
If you can't make it to this session you can read more about the project on our website, and complete our survey to make sure your views are represented in our final feasibility report. You can also email us at hambleton@yorkcommunityenergy.org.uk, or join our dedicated mailing list for the Hambleton Junction project.
