Make a Bespoke Resin Charcuterie Board

Join Whitehorse artisan Cate Robertson of Cate’s Yukon Creations to create your own charcuterie board, from olive wood and finished in resin in this unique evening workshop series!

Over the course of three nights, participants will learn how to select and prepare their olive wood, plan their design, choose and combine resin pigments, safely measure and mix epoxy resin, create colour and movement within the resin, demould and flatten their boards, sand through the appropriate stages, create or install handles, and apply the final protective finish. Each participant will leave with a completed 9-by-18-inch olive wood and resin charcuterie board.

This workshop runs across three nights, you must be available for all three to complete your charcuterie board.

Wednesday, 21st October | 5pm - 8pm
Thursday, 22nd October | 5pm - 8pm

If you would like to bring items to place into your resin board, please email bec@yukonstruct.com in advance so that we can confirm the resin will cure correctly.

All materials will be provided to construct one charcuterie board with resin.

About the Instructor

After more than 40 years working in health mining and safety, Cate retired to pursue her lifelong passion for woodworking and creativity. From her workshop in Whitehorse, Yukon, Cate designs and handcrafts unique pieces inspired by the beauty of the North through Cate’s Yukon Creations, combining premium olive wood, vibrant epoxy art, laser engraving, and UV printing to create one-of-a-kind functional pieces. Her signature Northern Lights epoxy designs celebrate the colours and landscapes of the Yukon while blending artistry with everyday function.

Cate is the owner of Cate’s Yukon Creations, where she designs and creates custom charcuterie boards, crib boards, home décor, gifts, and keepsakes. She is also the creator of the Boo Crew, a fun collection of original Yukon-inspired characters that have become a growing part of her business through artwork, apparel, gifts, and children’s products.

Whether someone is picking up a tool for the very first time or already enjoys creating, Cate’s goal is to make every workshop welcoming, relaxed, and fun. She believes everyone has a creative side, and there’s nothing more rewarding than helping people discover it while making something they can proudly take home.

Her greatest joy is inspiring others to discover their own creativity and leave with something they never imagined they could make.
