Beginner Wood Lathe - Candlestick
Learn basic wood turning and walk home with your unique tea light candle holder!
This session includes an introduction to the wood lathe, including setup, chisels, setting up premade blanks and how to do spindle work between centers. The course focuses on the lathe safety orientation for Yukonstruct users but both members and non-members are encouraged to join, regardless of whether they have taken our woodshop orientation or not.
Closed-toed shoes are required. Wear well-fitting clothes that can get dirty. Safety glasses must be worn at all times in the shop. If you have your own or prescription Z87-rated eyewear, you are welcome to bring and use them but we will have safety glasses and overglasses on hand to lend.
