Ekphrastic Poetry Workshop with Silvia Rose

The poet Silvia Rose will lead this workshop responding to works of art in our open exhibition on the theme of 'Space'. The exhibition is full of artwork from over seventy artists, so there is plenty of variety to stimulate your creative response. Silvia Rose will guide you through the process of formulating a response in words to some of these works. You don't need any previous experience of writing poetry, just a willingness to experiment and enjoy making connections between the visual and the verbal arts.

This workshop is part of our 'Painting with Words' project, supported by Literature Wales. We operate a 'pay as you can' policy on events like this, to ensure that our experiences are affordable for everyone. You can choose to pay £8.50, £10.50 or £12.50 for this workshop.

The language of this workshop will be English.

There will be an opportunity to share your work, and to hear other people's poems and responses during the open mic night on the 2nd of May.
