About Yom HaShoah UK
Yom HaShoah UK is dedicated to commemorating the Holocaust, honouring the memory of the six million Jews who perished, and perpetuating the legacy of Holocaust survivors and refugees. Our mission is to unite the UK Jewish community in remembrance and education, ensuring that the lessons of the Holocaust remain a powerful force for shaping the future.
Each year, we organise the UK Jewish Community’s National Yom HaShoah Commemoration, bringing together thousands from all walks of life to reflect, remember, and reaffirm our collective commitment to ‘Never Again’. Beyond the commemoration, Yom HaShoah UK works closely with schools, synagogues, youth organisations, and charities to integrate Holocaust education into communal life and inspire all generations to carry forward the legacy of remembrance.
Our initiatives include:
• National Commemorative Events: Large-scale gatherings to honour Holocaust survivors, refugees, and the memory of the six million.
• Educational Programmes: Developing resources and programmes for Jewish primary and secondary schools, as well as youth movements and community groups.
• Community Engagement: Encouraging synagogues, charities, and organisations to mark Yom HaShoah through local events and educational activities.
Join us on 23rd April 2025 for a once-in-a-generation gathering at Victoria Tower Gardens to mark the 80th anniversary of the end of the Shoah.
