The one and only place to be this New Year’s Eve is York's grand Assembly Rooms. As we breathe life back into Lord Burlington's party hotspot from the 1730's, we are inviting you to a night like no other.

AN UNFORGETTABLE EVENING

7pm - Arrive to a sparkling wine reception under the dazzling chandeliers. You will be met by Lord Burlington himself who will join you for that all important photo in front of the grandest fireplace in town. Move through the spectacular anterooms and enjoy the musical entertainment as you find your way to the Grand Assembly Room.

8pm – Take your seat at the banqueting table and prepare for a 3 course feast.

9.30pm – Get ready to party, our 18 piece big band will be warming up. Stay chatting with friends at the dining table, retire to one of the anterooms for drinks or try your hand on our indoor croquet lawn.

10pm - The band kicks off in grand style and our evening grazing table of meats and cheeses opens.

11.45pm – As we approach Midnight, you can step outside into the shadow of York Minster to soak up the unparalleled atmosphere as Great Peter strikes 12 O’clock. Alternatively, stay in the warmth and prepare for our band and piper to welcome in the New Year.

Midnight – Say cheers to 2024 with a rousing rendition of 'auld lang syne' as we start the final musical set of the night!

1am – Carriages

Our VIP tickets include early access (6:30pm), exclusive reception with the Event and Musical Directors and the Ball's chief guests. Enjoy a glass of fizz as you socialise and start a night like no other.

Dress Code

You can not be over dressed! Black tie and ball gowns.
