York's Draft Local Transport Strategy - What it could mean for disabled and older people

Mon 15 Jan 2024 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM GMT Online, Zoom

Please join the York Disability Rights Forum (YDRF) for an online information sharing and discussion meeting about York’s draft Local Transport Strategy*.  In particular we will discuss our safety concerns for disabled and older people regarding the proposed use of continuous cycle lanes. We will show film examples of continuous cycle lanes and draw on experiences from other parts of the UK and beyond.

YDRF have also produced a leaflet that explains and shows the safety concerns for disabled and older people. This is now available so contact us if you would like a copy.

We welcome your thoughts and input about the proposed strategy and what it could mean to disabled and older people.  We understand that some of you can’t make online meetings and are really sorry that we are unable to present in-person.  But do please share your thoughts with us in any of the following ways - by email at hello@ydrf.org.uk; by leaving us a voicemail message at 01904 326781 and we’ll call you back or write to us c/o Centre for Applied Human Rights, 6 Innovation Close, York YO10 5ZF

BSL interpreter and Zoom automated captions will be available at the event.
