CANCELLED Welcome Sha Qadir into York as he wheels to Gaza

Join us to celebrate the arrival of Shaho as he wheels into York on the 10th October before moving on to Leeds on the 11th. He then plans to wheel through the UK, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland, France, Monaco, Italy, Albania, North Macedonia, Greece, Lebanon, and Jordan. He will be raising money to support disabled children in the strip with the build of a sports and rehabilitation centre by the Gaza Sunbirds. They are Palestine’s paracycling team of amputee athletes which delivers aid across the strip, a portion of Shaho’s fundraising will also go towards these. Wheel to Gaza is also supported by its partner, Solidarity Rising - an international human rights organisation gathering activists in the struggle for a world where everyone’s 

Step free access: Access to all rooms is via the Southlands Road entrance, which is served by a ramp (running from the car park), and by steps (from Southlands Road). 

Parking: You are welcome to park in the church car park. If it’s full, there is on-street paid parking on Southlands road (free for Blue Badge holder) or the nearest carpark is Bishopthorpe road carpark. 

Public transport: The number 11 bus stops outside the church on Bishopthorpe road. 

Toilets: Accessible toilet facilities are available inside the Community Centre. 

Hearing loop: There is also a hearing loop system available.
