Join Yorkshire Funders for a 90-minute webinar exploring what really matters when moving to a new Grants Management System (GMS) - and how funders can avoid the most common (and costly) mistakes.
This session brings together SmartyGrants and two Yorkshire Funders members who have recently implemented new systems (one using Smartygrants and one using Salesforce).
Rather than starting with technology or features, this webinar looks at how funders can set themselves up for success when changing systems - and the traps that often trip organisations up along the way.
The webinar is split into two complementary halves, combining sector-wide implementation insight with lived member experience.
Part 1 - Setting up for Success
Based on extensive implementation experience, SmartyGrants will share practical lessons funders often wish they'd known sooner, including:
- Don't start with the system - start with your process
- Be clear on what "good" looks like
- Avoid the "like-for-like" trap.... and many more.
This session will focus on patterns, pitfalls and preventative strategies, with time for questions and discussions.
Part 2 - Member Lessons Learned
Two Yorkshire Funders members who have recently implemented GMS platforms - one with SmartyGrants and one with Salesforce - will share:
- Why they introduced or changed systems
- What implementation looked like in practice
- What worked well and what was challenging
- Practical advice for funders
This will be followed by a Q&A.
