Leading Change on Low Pay in the Third Sector: The Role of Living Wage Funders
Need help?
With 1 in 8 workers in the third sector paid less than the real Living Wage, what role can funders play in tackling low pay and insecure work, and enabling more charities and other not-for-profits to provide a decent standard of living for their workers.
Join this webinar to find out. We will be joined by Evie Stevenson and Lianna Etkind from the Living Wage Foundation who will:
- Provide insight into the persistent issues around low-paid, insecure work in the third sector in Yorkshire and the Humber
- Outline what the real Living Wage and Living Hours are and how these are calculated
- Introduce us to the Foundation's Living Wage Funder initiative, what impact it is already having on the sector, and what their ambitions are for the future.
We will also be joined by Yorkshire Funders members who have become Living Wage Funders and will share their motivation for doing so and what impact they have seen this have on their grantees.
This webinar will be of interest to anyone involved in the design and oversight of their organisation's funding programmes, including trustees, grant managers and CEOs.
This session is free for Yorkshire Funders' members to attend (£20 for non-members). Please register for this session to reserve your place.
