Free launch event where you can meet like-minded people trying to make a positive change in the city. 

The event will include:

• an introduction to York Together, who we are and our aims
• guest speakers
• activist showcase and share
• spoken word poetry
  
• interactive activities
• food and refreshments 
• a chance to meet each other and make connections.

We are meeting at 1pm on Wednesday the 24th July in the Orchard Hall at New Earswick Folk Hall (a fully accessible venue).

If you're interested in community decision-making, activism in York and how we can better work together, or just want to connect with like-minded people, do come along! There will be some delicious food from Yahala catered by local refugees and asylum seekers.

How to get to the Folk Hall:

The building is fully accessible and from the center of York, you can catch the number 1 or number 13 bus to right outside the front door.

There is also free parking onsite and across the road.
