YRP Exclusive HS2 Site Visit: Victoria Road Crossover Box and SCL Tunnels

Join Young Rail Professionals for an exclusive behind-the-scenes visit to the HS2 Victoria Road Crossover Box and SCL Tunnels at North Acton.

This is a fantastic opportunity for students, graduates, apprentices, and early-career rail professionals to gain firsthand insight into the delivery of one of the UK's most significant rail infrastructure projects. Attendees will hear directly from the project team, explore active construction works, and learn about the engineering, construction, and operational challenges involved in building the future railway.

This visit will provide a unique opportunity to tour the Victoria Road Crossover Box site at North Acton, including:

• Old Oak Common Sprayed Concrete Lining (SCL) Tunnels
• Headhouses
• Victoria Road Crossover Box
• Project overview from the delivery team
• Site walk and discussion with project representatives

Time: 08:30 - 14:00

Schedule

• 08:30 - 09:00 Arrival
• 09:00 - 13:30 Project overview, site induction, PPE issue/change, guided site tour, PPE return
• 13:30 - 14:00 Wrap-up and departure

Important Information

• This is an active construction site and places are strictly limited to 20 attendees.
• Attendees must be 18 years or older.
• Full PPE is required. PPE will be arranged (Safety boots, high-visibility jacket, trousers, safety helmet, gloves, safety glasses) by the site team; sizing information will be requested after registration.
• Security requirements mean attendees will be asked to provide: Full name and Mobile phone number.

What to Wear

Please arrive in suitable clothing for a construction site visit. Full PPE will be provided.

Registration

Due to limited capacity, tickets will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. If you can no longer attend after registering, please cancel your place as early as possible so it can be offered to another YRP member.
