Acting Workshop with Tom Verica
Very few directors have shaped modern television the way Tom Verica has. As the director and executive producer of Bridgerton, Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story, and Inventing Anna, he has spent decades inside the room with some of the best actors working today, understanding what makes a performance land, what makes a scene alive, and what separates good work from truly unforgettable work.
This is a rare chance to be in that room with him.
The Craft Acting Workshops bring together small groups of serious actors for focused, high-level sessions with people who are actively working at the top of the industry. No lectures. No theory. Just real work, real feedback, and real growth.
Here is how the session runs:
🤝 Getting Into the Work
The session opens with a short exercise to get you present and out of your head, followed by Tom sharing his perspective on scene work and what he genuinely looks for when directing actors.
🎬 Scene Work
You will receive a scene in advance to prepare and bring into the room. You perform it, Tom gives you feedback rooted in objectives, relationships, stakes and subtext, and then you go again. Pairings rotate throughout so you get to explore the same material with different partners, seeing how the scene shifts and opens up with every new set of choices. You will learn as much from watching as you will from being on your feet.
🎤 Open Q&A
The session ends with an honest, open conversation with Tom. Ask him anything about his process, his career, and what it really takes to deliver in the room.
