Course Overview

This interactive online workshop introduces you to Youth Scotland’s Hi5 Award and Dynamic Youth Award (DYA).
You will learn how to confidently promote, support and deliver these awards within your youth group, school or project.

The session explores the youth work approach, the plan–do–review structure, how young people evidence their learning, and Youth Scotland’s quality assurance processes that support SCQF credit rating and levelling.

Overall Aims

By the end of this training, participants will:

  • Understand what is meant by a youth work approach
  • Be able to support young people through the plan–do–review process
  • Understand how to help young people evidence their learning and achievement
  • Understand assessment criteria and the Youth Scotland quality assurance process
