The biggest weekend in youth work is back from 30-31 August at the University of Stirling!
A fantastic event for young people and youth workers, Big Ideas is all about engaging, inspiring and empowering young people and youth workers to take the lead in their local communities. This residential event comprises an action-packed programme of fun and engaging workshops for young people and a separate workshop list for workers to ignite new ideas and gain new experiences.
Join our celebration of young people and experience an event which showcases youth work’s talents and skills!
Big Ideas Event is for young people, youth workers and volunteers to learn new skills, network, share ideas, access a fantastic choice of workshops and celebrate the impact of youth work.
The Big Ideas Event is most suited for:
- Workers/Leaders (18 yrs plus)
- Young People (12-17 yrs)
Young people under 16 years of age will need to come with a youth worker and a parent or guardian will also be required to sign a completed consent form.
Young People (16 years plus) can self-book on to the event and a completed consent form needs to be completed and sent to us prior to the event.
Workers can self-book on to the event and can either come alone or accompany young people. There is a separate programme of workshops for both young people and workers, with shared event challenges and evening entertainment.
New Booking Process
- Book tickets for you/your group here and indicate whether each ticket is for a Worker or a Young Person during checkout. It's OK if you don't know which Young People are coming - we're just looking for numbers here. N.B. If you are arriving on Friday and require overnight accomodation, please add this to your booking. The option for this is in the Other section
- You will receive a booking confirmation email. This contains links to the Consent Form and to Workshop Choices booking.
- Share the Consent Form link with each member of your group so they or their parent/guardian can complete it. Please do this as soon as you are able to confirm who is going.
- Share the Workshop Choices booking link with each member of your group - make sure to share the correct link, the options are different for Workers and Young People. Choices need to be submitted separately for each member of your group. You can submit choices on behalf of your Young People if that is appropriate for your group.
- Try to contain your excitement while you wait for the 30th August to arrive!!
