YBVox Workshop - "Acapella" Singing for Female Voices

Welcome to the first of our YBVox workshops! "ACAPELLA for FEMALE VOICES"

This session will look briefly at the origins and conventions of ACAPELLA singing. We will discover the beauty in the sound of just voices in their purest form and work on harmonies, blending, and most of all enjoy the sensation of singing together!!!!!

The session is led by Yvonne Barrie, an educator and musician with many years teaching and performing experience. Yvonne has taught in schools and colleges in the U.K and Asia, and has been running workshops for companies such as Team Building Asia, English Schools Foundation in Hong Kong, Dulwich College in Seoul, and closer to home -  Derby Jazz. 

This session is open to everyone over the age of 16, and will be held in an inclusive and supportive environment. The aim is enjoyment, learning, and to experience the joy of shared singing.  Resources with links will be sent out to all attendees before the workshop. 

The workshop will run for 2 hours with a 15 minute break. It will take place in the Studio Room at Dubrek Studios, Bridge St, Derby. There is a small café on site for refreshments.
