THOMPSON TECHNIQUE – ADVANCED SEMINAR SERIES 2026

PRE REQUISITE: Must have attended Module 1/Fundamentals course administered by Alan Brady, Sheridan Kay, David Kay or Rob Jackson.

MODULE 2 – Advanced Protocols & Competency

NOTE: Completion of The Thompson Technique – Revised & Refined (Module 1) is required before attending Module 2.

About the Seminar:
Module 2 is designed for chiropractors ready to elevate their Thompson Terminal Point Technique to an advanced level. This content-rich weekend focuses on refining your analysis, enhancing cervical and pelvic adjusting, improving table competency, and developing clinical confidence with more complex presentations. Expect highly practical instruction, clear protocols, and skills you can apply in practice immediately.

Presenters – Dr David Kay:
With 19 years of teaching experience, Dr David Kay has lectured in Thompson Technique at the New Zealand College of Chiropractic and has taught seminars throughout Australia and New Zealand alongside Dr Sheridan Brady-Kay, Dr Robert Jackson and other recognised instructors. A Certified Thompson Instructor and the Australian Representative for Zenith Chiropractic Tables, David is known for his simple, pragmatic, and hands-on teaching style that builds certainty and clarity in practitioners. Originally from Albury NSW, he now practices in Auckland, New Zealand.

Dr Sheridan Brady-Kay has been a Thompson Technique instructor for nearly 30 years. The head of the Thompson Technique department at the New Zealand College of Chiropractic, Sheridan has taught with her Father the Late Alan Brady, Dr Rob Jackson and learnt from Dr Clay Thompson Himself. A purist in the technique and a Life Chiropractic College graduate and Originally from Wodonga Victoria, Dr Brady-Kay's experience is unmatched in Australasia.

Topics Include:
Advanced Protocol Competency; Seated & Supine Cervical Adjusting; Stucky Stack; Upper Cervical Toggle; Posterior Cervical; Cervical Disc considerations; Extremities; Pregnancy II; Advanced Decompression; clinical reasoning; integrating protocols with complex cases; and more.

Bonus Module:
Disc and Spondylolisthesis assessment and management, including advanced lower-back decision-making and Thompson-specific decompression strategies.

Practical Training:
Zenith Chiropractic tables will be available throughout the weekend. Practical sessions focus on cervical and pelvic adjusting using Thompson protocols, correct Derifield analysis, lines of correction, the 5-categories, table setup, patient safety, and contraindications. Numbers are capped to ensure individual attention and hands-on refinement.

CPD:
Eligible for up to 12 hours of continuing professional development (check local requirements).
