School Starts at Home.

Back-to-school stress can quickly turn into rushed mornings, bedtime battles, screen-time arguments, exhausted parents, and kids starting the day already overwhelmed.

The Home Advantage is a practical, interactive ROOTS Grounded Parenting workshop designed to help families create calmer mornings, less stress, stronger connection, and more confidence at home.

You’ll learn practical tools that help reduce power struggles, improve cooperation, strengthen routines, and make everyday family life feel more manageable.

At the heart of ROOTS Grounded Parenting is Shared Solution Parenting — a practical approach that moves beyond the old choice between controlling children and giving in to them. Parents learn how to remain grounded leaders while listening, communicating clearly, and finding solutions that work for both the child and the family.

These tools can be especially valuable for families navigating the realities of modern life — single parenting, shared parenting, blended households, demanding schedules, and the constant juggling that can make consistency difficult.

You’ll leave with tools for:

Calmer, easier mornings

Less stress and fewer power struggles

Stronger connection and cooperation

Better routines

More confidence as a parent

The cost: FREE.
The value: PRICELESS.

Brought to Life by Mr. Shu

Mr. Shu brings a unique blend of professional experience, practical family support, and real-life parenting into this work.

As a single father in a successful shared-family parenting arrangement, he understands firsthand that family life can be complicated, demanding, and sometimes overwhelming. He also has the privilege of already working with several families within the Anchor Lutheran community — supporting physical wellness through his licensed massage therapy practice and helping children and parents through Lifestyle Architecture, his mentoring and educational framework for healthier habits, stronger communication, emotional regulation, and more confident family relationships.

His background also includes training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, NLP, Neuropsychotherapy, and Youth Mental Health First Aid, giving him additional tools for understanding behavior, stress, communication, and the ways children and adults respond to life challenges.

His work with children includes programs such as Mindful M3 and Sensible M3, where kids develop practical life skills in mindset, manners, movement, communication, self-awareness, and emotional regulation.

Mr. Shu has spent 17 years teaching at the college level, has worked with children from preschool through high school, serves as a K–12 substitute teacher at Anchor Lutheran School, and has served as Parent Council Chairman for the past four years.

More than anything, his work is about helping families feel supported, capable, and better equipped for the everyday challenges of growing together.

Because a better school year can begin before your child ever walks into the classroom.

School starts at home.
