Singer-songwriter, story-teller, jazz pianist, vaudevillian  Zoë Lewis ia absolutely ecstatc to be sharing the stage this women's week with the incredible Barbara Higbie! Barbara is “A jazz pianist who can write and sing like Laura Nyro and Carol King, a prize-winning folk fiddler who will interpret a John Coltrane tune through a French vocal or add her own lyrics to one of Django Reinhardt’s last compositions, full of energy and enthusiasm her performance has been  likened to a jolt of bright sunlight.” —L.A. A Grammy-nominated, Bammy award winning composer she has performed on more than 100 albums, including Carlos Santana’s 2007 release.. Higbie has 13 solo and group recordings to her name, as well as contributions to 10 compilations that have sold in the millions. She was the first female instrumentalist to compose and record for Windham Hill Records, Her two CD’s with singer-songwriter Teresa Trull on Olivia/Second Wave and Slowbaby Records have won critical acclaim and a large nationwide following.
