Elevate your skills with our monthly professional dance classes, designed for dancers in training, recent graduates, and experienced artists.
Programmed by ZoieLogic Dance Theatre in collaboration with The Point, these classes are led by a rotating cohort of independent practitioners, choreographers, and teachers. Each session offers a chance to train in a dynamic, supportive environment while building connections across the regional dance community.
These sessions are heavily subsidised to strengthen and sustain the local dance ecology, making high-quality training accessible to more artists.

Becky is a dancer, performer and writer with an interest in how creatives learn, process and retain all forms of information. What to expect... Becky’s class focuses on an exploration of audio information, how we listen and how we interpret what we hear. The aim of the class is to explore ways of physically translating how things sound AND to have a ball with some top notch music. Jonah Woolfenden is a contemporary dance artist with a multidisciplinary background in the arts. Their movement language crosses a wide breadth of practices, with a deep knowledge of release-based and floor work, drawing inspiration from contemporary dance, capoeira, microbatics and street dance styles.

Emma is a contemporary dance artist based in the South of England. She has perviously worked as a performer, choreographer, rehearsal director and facilitator, most recently following her passion for dance science research. What to expect... Emma’s work is rooted in contemporary practice, exploring physicality and fluidity. She has a playful approach to movement and enjoys playing with dynamics and floor work. Katie is a Dance Artist and teacher based in Bournemouth. She trained at London Contemporary Dance School, graduating with a First Class BA (Hons) in Contemporary Dance, having previously trained through the Centre for Advanced Training and The Royal Ballet School. What to expect... Katie’s class is a fast-paced contemporary technique class that challenges dancers to move with clarity, control, and intention. The class focuses on travelling through space with dynamic movement, exploring fluid transitions, strong technical foundations, with a deep connection to musicality. Dancers are encouraged to push their physicality, refine their movement quality, and develop expressive performance within an energetic and supportive environment. Lauren graduated from Trinity Laban in 2024 and now trains with ORB Youth Dance Co here at The Point in Eastleigh. She freelances as a teacher, choreographer and performer across both contemporary dance and theatre disciplines, most recently in “Am I Actually Living?!?” and The Jane Austen Fan Club. She also runs and creates her own projects with Indigo Movement Company. What to expect... Lauren's class consists of floor work and standing technique, a refreshing blend of training experiences. Ozzy BC (he/they) is an Irish/British Choreographer and movement artist worked across Europe with a desire to bring the European scene back to the UK. His choreographic language is centered around relationships and humour, involving a lot of laughs, groove and character work. Their works have been presented at The Place, AMATA, Salford Uni, TripSpace and Berlin. He constantly seeks to grow is artistry and research language through teaching and sharing - being influenced by everything around them. What to expect... Sweat, Strength and Totality - the journey of class. Through diving into stamina, sensation and groove, we will explore story telling as we find humour, character and individuality through both phrase work and improvisational research. Danielle is a movement practitioner and theatre maker with a background in dance and performance. She trained at The London School of Musical Theatre and has worked across musical theatre, classical and contemporary theatre as both a performer and creative. What to expect... In this special Pro Class, Danielle offers a yoga session tailored specifically for dancers, blending grounding breathwork, intuitive movement and a fluid flow that follows the rhythm of the breath. This practice invites you to pause, check in and move in a way that nourishes rather than demands, allowing you to return to your dance practice with greater awareness, ease and presence.
