The event organiser, Aeroacoustics 2026, has the legal responsibility to tell ticket buyers and event attendees how their personal information will be collected and used. You can find their Privacy Policy below or contact them to request it.
Registration for this conference is processed by the Von Karman Institute for Fluid Dynamics (VKI) via the Ticket Tailor platform. By registering, you agree that the information you provide will be shared with the AIAA and that registration data will be jointly held by VKI and AIAA.
The data collected include your name, affiliation, job title, email address, country of residence, and any other information you choose to provide during registration.
VKI and AIAA will use your data for the purposes of:
- administering and managing your participation in the conference;
- communicating essential event-related information;
- producing aggregated statistics and reports; and
- informing you about future events, activities, publications, or other offerings organized or supported by VKI and/or AIAA.
VKI and AIAA act as joint controllers. Each organization may contact you independently for these purposes. You may opt out of non-essential communications at any time by following the unsubscribe instructions included in such messages.
Your personal data will not be sold and will not be shared with third parties other than AIAA and service providers acting on behalf of VKI solely for registration and event delivery purposes.
Your personal data will be kept only as long as necessary for the purposes described above.
To the extent that the registration data includes Personal Data under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), VKI and AIAA will each comply with their respective obligations as data controllers, including ensuring appropriate safeguards for the protection of your data.
If you are subject to the GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal data, and to withdraw your consent at any time. Requests may be addressed to VKI or AIAA using the contact details available on their respective websites.
Lead Retrieval and Badge Scanning
During the conference, exhibitors and sponsors may use lead retrieval tools to scan participant badges.
Badges may contain personal data such as name, affiliation, job title, and contact details. By allowing your badge to be scanned by an exhibitor or sponsor, you expressly consent to the sharing of your personal data with that exhibitor or sponsor.
Each exhibitor or sponsor acts as an independent data controller with respect to the personal data collected via badge scanning and is responsible for complying with applicable data protection laws, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
The Organizer does not control how exhibitors or sponsors use the data collected through badge scanning. Participants are encouraged to review the privacy policies of individual exhibitors or sponsors before consenting to the scanning of their badge.
Badge scanning is entirely voluntary, and participants may decline to have their badge scanned at any time.
