Who we are

Seasonal Activities Ltd, trading as Candy Cane Crossing, is responsible for the personal information described in this notice.

Correspondence address: 19 Joannah Street, Sunderland, SR5 1NF.

Email: info@candycanecrossing.co.uk

This notice explains how we use personal information when you book tickets through our Ticket Tailor box office or contact us about a booking.

Information we collect

We collect your name, email address, mobile telephone number and booking details. Booking details include your chosen date and time, ticket types, quantities, order reference and payment status.

We also receive information you provide when asking questions, requesting changes or making a complaint.

Our payment provider processes payment details and may request a billing address. We receive transaction information needed to manage your payment, refunds and accounting. We do not receive your full payment card number or security code.

If someone books on your behalf, we may receive information about you from that person.

We do not record customer telephone calls.

How and why we use your information

We use your information to process bookings, issue tickets, manage admission, contact you about your visit and handle booking changes or refunds. This is necessary to make and fulfil our booking agreement with you.

We keep relevant transaction information to meet our legal accounting and tax obligations.

We also use information where necessary for our legitimate interests in answering enquiries, resolving complaints, protecting our booking service against misuse and handling legal claims. We consider your rights when relying on these interests.

The contact and booking details marked as required at checkout are needed to process and manage your booking. Without them, we may be unable to accept it.

Marketing

We do not currently use information collected through this booking service to send promotional emails or text messages.

We may send tickets, booking confirmations and important information about your visit. These are service messages.

Who receives your information

We use Ticket Tailor to manage bookings and issue tickets. Information is also processed by the payment provider used at checkout.

Staff who need booking information to welcome visitors or provide customer support may access it.

Where necessary, we share relevant information with providers of email and IT services, our accountant, professional advisers and authorities where disclosure is legally required.

We do not sell your personal information.

Cookies and technical information

Our Ticket Tailor box office uses essential cookies to maintain your basket, process orders securely and make checkout work.

We have not enabled Google Analytics, Meta Pixel or TikTok Pixel in our box office.

Technical information, such as your IP address and browser information, may be processed by service providers to operate and secure the booking service.

This notice does not describe cookies used separately on our main website or on other websites you visit.

Information processed outside the UK

Our service providers may process information outside the UK.

Ticket Tailor lists hosting infrastructure in Ireland and France. Some of its other providers may process information in other countries, including the United States.

International transfers must use an applicable UK adequacy decision or appropriate safeguards, such as approved contractual protections.

Details of Ticket Tailor’s providers and transfer arrangements are available at:

Contact us if you would like further information about safeguards relevant to your booking.

How long we keep information

We keep information for as long as needed for the purpose it was collected.

Relevant accounting and transaction records are normally retained for six years from the end of the company financial year they relate to, or longer where required by law.

For other booking information and correspondence, we consider whether your visit has taken place, whether enquiries or refunds remain unresolved, and whether information is needed for a complaint or legal claim.

Information that is no longer needed will be deleted or anonymised. The accounting retention period does not automatically apply to every item of customer information.

Keeping information secure

We use appropriate measures to protect personal information and limit access to people who need it for their work.

No online service can guarantee complete security.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may ask to access your information, correct it, have it deleted, restrict its use or receive it in a portable format.

These rights are not absolute. For example, we may need to retain certain records to meet legal obligations.

You also have the right to object to processing based on our legitimate interests, for reasons relating to your particular situation.

Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. This does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal.

To make a request, email info@candycanecrossing.co.uk. We may need to confirm your identity before responding.

You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office:
