Privacy Policy for Circles with Siana


The event organiser, Circles with Siana, has the legal responsibility to tell ticket buyers and event attendees how their personal information will be collected and used. You can find their Privacy Policy below or contact them to request it.


GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) is the most significant piece of privacy and data protection in twenty years. It took effect on 25th May 2018 and from that date we are required to ensure that we provide clear information about data protection and privacy to all clients. In it (amongst other things) we confirm what information we hold and how we are permitted to use it

The “lawful basis” under which I process your data is “Contract”.  In addition, when I process sensitive information the “special category condition” I use is “provision of health or social care”.


What data do I keep and why do I need it?

Name, email, address, phone number – This is for contact and emergency purposes

Would I ever share your data?

I will keep information about you confidential, the exceptions being:

  • in a medical emergency
  • if you share sufficient details to identify a child / vulnerable adult being in danger
  • if you share details about your intent to harm another person / organisation
  •  if you share details about criminal activity

Where possible and appropriate I will always aim to discuss any disclosure with you in advance. Certain legal obligations, for example relating to terrorism, require that I do not do so. When your consent is sought this will be documented in writing.

Administration

An administrative assistant may have access to certain personal information for purposes such as diary management, communication and accounting.They work in line with all relevant data protection laws.


How do I store your data?


Your data is stored digitally.My database and laptop are password protected. I have a dedicated email account for Circle work. I keep mobile numbers on a phone used exclusively for business, which is password protected.


Your rights


Right to access: You have the right to ask for a copy of your personal information, free of charge. You also have a right to ask me to amend incorrect information about you.


Right to be forgotten: You have the right to ask me to erase any information that I hold about you. When considering these requests, these rights are obligatory unless it is information which I have a legal obligation to retain.

Data Portability: You have the right to receive personal information which you previously provided, and you have the right to transfer that information to another party.

The Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK supervisory authority for data protection issues, continues to update and develop GDPR guidance, therefore I have committed to reviewing this document regularly. Please feel free to discuss it further with me at any time. You also have
