The event organiser, GIC Australia 2025, has the legal responsibility to tell ticket buyers and event attendees how their personal information will be collected and used. You can find their Privacy Policy below or contact them to request it.
The information of registered guests is held securely online by the GIC 2025 Organisers for the duration of the conference for conference administration and conference business purposes only. The GIC 2025 Team adheres to the Australian Privacy Principles Act (1988) for the storage and use of personal information.
The GIC Team works in collaboration with the IBF on administrative tasks and to support the wellbeing of all conference delegates. The GIC Team will share your name and email information with the IBF for their GIC Database. The GIC Team will only share other delegate information with the IBF when absolutely necessary for administrative and conference purposes only; and otherwise only with your consent.
Please consider the following:
The IBF has a clear policy on data protection and your right to privacy. The IBF cannot allow your personal contact details to be sent out without your explicit consent. The IBF and the GIC Organiser will not distribute personal contact details of GIC participants.
It is not permitted for any IBF member to use the GIC contact list for their own business purposes.
IBF Professionals hosting workshops at the GIC who wish to find contacts for their mailing list can have their own list/sheet where people can register to receive updates from them during the conference.
IBF Professionals wishing to recruit other professionals for their company or events should send their request to the IBF Executive Team, who will decide if it can be forwarded to the community.
Photography, Video and Audio Recording Policy
The GIC Team, IBF member, or an official conference photographer will take photos and video recordings for social media, marketing and archival purposes. Please let the GIC organisers know if you would prefer not to be photographed. Additionally, as you take your own photographs, please be mindful and respectful of what you post. Note that the GIC Team cannot be responsible for monitoring all people who record photos at the event and therefore cannot guarantee that your photo will not be published by others.
