The event organizer, Improbable Research, has the legal responsibility to tell ticket buyers and event attendees how their personal information will be collected and used. You can find their Privacy Policy below or contact them to request it.

If you purchase a ticket from us, we will use the information you provide (name and email address) in these ways:

To receive you at the event (Welcome/Ticket Table, Door to the event space)
To tell you about future Improbable Research events (like NEXT year's ceremony!)

But we will NOT:

Sell your name or email address
Give your name or email address to marketers or other annoying people

NOTE: At the Ig Nobel Prize Ceremony, the audience is part of the show! The Ig Nobel Prize Ceremony will be filmed (audio, video, still photography). It will be broadcast live on the internet, used afterwards on line, and will be covered by various news outlets who will also broadcast pieces of it. If you attend, you will likely be recorded. By attending the Ig Nobel Prize Ceremony, you are giving Improbable Research, the Ig Nobels, and attending members of the media the right to make and use these images and recordings of you and your guests. They may be used on line, in broadcast shows, on social media, and in promotional materials.
