Here at In Another Place we take your privacy seriously and will only use your personal information
to contact you regarding what you have signed up for.

means it decides how your personal data is processed and for what purposes.
Who are we?
In Another Place is a registered charity and company limited by guarantee with a mission to “take
good news outside church walls” We are: “Christians and community working together inspired by
our love for God and the people around us”
We prepare and present, high quality Christian mission oriented events to the general public.
To hold these events generally outside the church walls using contemporary language and styles.
How do we process your personal data?
In Another Place complies with its obligations under the GDPR by keeping personal data up to date;
by storing and destroying it securely; by not collecting or retaining excessive amounts of data; by
protecting personal data from loss, misuse, unauthorised access and disclosure and by ensuring that
appropriate technical measures are in place to protect personal data.
Why we collect and keep information about you:
Here at In Another Place we aim to provide you with opportunities for you to volunteer and use your
talents and skills whilst learning new ones too. In order to do this, we keep relevant records about
you and what you have signed up for.
These records will be specific to what you have signed up for and may include
• Basic details about you, email, telephone number, etc
• Contact we have had with you such as meetings / visits
• Notes and reports about your circumstances (eg: your health)
• Details and records about your involvement with In Another Place
• Emergency contact details
It is good practice for In Another Place team members to:
• Agree with you what they are going to record about you
• Show you what they have recorded about you, if you ask.
Some information may be held to help with the planning of In Another Place events and services.
When using data for this purpose we will endeavour to use anonymous information.
How your records are used
In Another place will use your records to:
• Contact you about the event you have signed up for and details of meetings/rehearsals
• Contact you after the event for feedback and thoughts
• Contact you about any directly related follow up events
When we collect your details, we will also ask if you would like to receive information on future
voluntary opportunities and whether you would like to join our mailing list. We will not share
information with other organisations without first gaining your consent.
