Who we are?

Why do we process your personal information?

This privacy notice relates to events hosted by EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training in Data-Driven Health (DRIVE-Health) at King’s College London (KCL).

We will generally use your personal information (name, email address and any relevant accessibility information) to provide you with the services, or information you have requested from us, in relation to attending one or several of the CDT’s events.

We process your personal information in order to:

  • Manage the administration of our events.
  • Monitor attendance numbers in line with venue capacity.
  • Make informed decisions relating to accessibility requirements of event attendees .
  • To enable us to assess effectiveness of our events and to gain your feedback.

Data protection legislation allows us to use your personal information in this way as:

  1. It is in our legitimate interests, and yours, to provide opportunities and hold events that publicise the research we are undertaking.
  2. You have actively given us your permission (or ‘consent’) i.e. where we may need to meet any accessibility requirements that you have.

Your personal information may be shared with:

  • We use a third-party service provider, Ticket Tailor, who host the platform we use to enable you to register for our events. For more information on how they manage your data, please see: https://www.tickettailor.com/legal/privacy-policy
  • We may also share your information internally within King’s College London to enable us to manage our events including Venues and Catering Teams.
  • On rare occasions, we may be required or permitted to share personal information by law (e.g. where there is an emergency or for law enforcement purposes).

Your personal information will be processed by our third-party supplier, Ticket Tailor, in the UK and the European Economic Area (“EEA”). They take steps to minimise transfers of your personal information outside of the UK and EEA, however, there may be some circumstances where they do transfer your personal information to a destination outside the UK or EEA. How long do we keep your information for?

We will keep your information for 1 month after the event to enable to gather and collate feedback.
