Privacy Policy
Let's Talk Menopause Events
Let's Talk Menopause ("LTM," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you register for or attend our event, "You're Not Alone: Navigating Menopause After Breast Cancer," held on October 1, [YEAR], and when you interact with our ticketing page hosted on Ticket Tailor.
By registering for this event, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Collect
When you register for this event through Ticket Tailor, we may collect:
- Contact information: name, email address, phone number
- Payment information: processed directly by Ticket Tailor and its payment processor (e.g., Stripe); LTM does not directly receive or store full payment card details
- Registration details: ticket type, dietary restrictions or accessibility needs (if provided), and any optional survey responses (e.g., how you heard about the event, professional affiliation)
- Communication records: any emails or messages you send us regarding the event
We do not ask for or require any medical or health information as a condition of registration. If you voluntarily share health-related information with us (for example, in an optional comment field or during the event itself), we treat that information as sensitive and limit its use as described in Section 3.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information collected to:
- Process your registration and manage event logistics (check-in, seating, capacity)
- Send confirmations, reminders, and updates about the event
- Communicate about future LTM programming, if you opt in
- Comply with legal, tax, or venue requirements
- Improve future events based on aggregated, de-identified feedback
We do not sell your personal information.
3. Sensitive Information
Because this event addresses breast cancer and menopause, we recognize some attendees may share health-related experiences in registration comments, during Q&A, or in post-event surveys. Any such information is:
- Used only to improve programming and support attendees
- Never sold, rented, or used for advertising
- Shared outside LTM only in aggregate, de-identified form (e.g., in reports to co-sponsors or funders)
4. Sharing of Information
We may share your information with:
- Ticket Tailor, our ticketing platform, which processes registrations under its own privacy policy
- Event co-sponsors (NYU and breastcancer.org), limited to aggregate attendance data unless you separately opt in to share your contact details with them
- Legal or regulatory authorities, if required by law
We do not share your information with third parties for their independent marketing purposes without your consent.
5. Data Retention
We retain registration information for as long as needed to manage the event and for a reasonable period afterward for record-keeping, reporting to funders, and follow-up communications, after which it is deleted or de-identified.
6. Your Choices
You may:
- Opt out of future email communications at any time via the unsubscribe link in any email
- Request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us at hello@letstalkmenopause.org
- Decline to provide optional information (such as dietary needs or survey responses) without affecting your ability to attend
7. Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information, and payment data is handled directly by Ticket Tailor's PCI-compliant payment processor. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children's Privacy
This event is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
