What we do with your data
We collect, process, store and use personal data to support the running of our events. Specifically:
Booking tickets
When you book a ticket for our event via Ticket Tailor:
- Norfolk Cambridge Society is the data controller, and
- Ticket Tailor acts as our data processor.
Ticket Tailor's privacy policy outlines how they process your data when booking a ticket. We use the data you provide as follows:
- To control access to the event;
- To contact you about the event.
If you have consented to being added to our mailing list, we will add your information to our mailing list and use it to contact you about future events.
Mailing List
Norfolk Cambridge Society maintains a mailing list containing name, email address and, if you have provided it, Cambridge college information. This is so we can contact you about future alumni and general events.
Legal basis
All personal data held and processed by Norfolk Cambridge Society will be done in line with the UK Data Protection Act 2018, which includes the UK Data Protection Regulations, governing the collection, recording, storage, use and disclosure of personal data.
The lawful basis for us handling data is:
- Booking Tickets - “contract” basis
- Mailing List - “consent” basis
Your rights
The following applies to data held directly by Norfolk Cambridge Society, e.g. our mailing list. For data held by Ticket Tailor, please contact them.
In publishing this privacy policy, we are informing users about the collection and processing of their personal data.
Right of Access (Subject Access)
If you wish to see what data we hold about you, please email data@norfolkcambridgesociety.org.uk from the email address you want the information about.
If you want the data we hold about you updated, please email data@norfolkcambridgesociety.org.uk from the email address concerned with the changes you would like us to make.
If you want to be removed from our mailing list, please email unsubscribe@norfolkcambridgesociety.org.uk from the email address to be removed.
If we cannot use your data for mailing, we will remove you from the mailing list. Please follow the process outlined in “Right to Erasure".
Data viewed under “Right to Access” can be copied and pasted to external programmes.
