The event organiser, Ontario Speed Dating, has the legal responsibility to tell ticket buyers and event attendees how their personal information will be collected and used. You can find their Privacy Policy below or contact them to request it.
How the data is used
Privacy of your personal financial information is subject to the Square privacy policy
We'll use your first & last name to verify your payment on-site. If you don't want to share your name verbally, showing it to us on a phone or on paper is acceptable.
We may check your personal ID as proof of age if other participants believe you are outside of the valid age range for the event.
We'll email you if there are issues with the order that must be addressed and/or if an event that a ticket holder in your order signed up for is canceled.
We'll email ticket holders in your order when an event officially runs. Match results will also be sent to the email addresses of each ticket holder.
For those NOT using the "Credit Card Express" payment method.
Since our payment processor has the 3Ds protocol enabled, the following applies:
If you're paying via Interac E-transfer, extra personal information (example: your address) will be immediately discarded.
Any personal information you provide when paying via any payment method not mentioned above is sent directly to your bank and Square solely to verify that you are authorized to use the financial card (or provider) to complete the order. Omitting some info may cause your transaction to be declined. Contact your financial institution to determine the personal information (if any) that is required to complete payment.
