Ticketing and Events - What we Collect and Why
As a general rule we try to limit the data that we collect, however there is certain data that we collect with the goal of helping us run our events for more effectively. Most notably this includes your name and email address ('Ticketing Email'). We use this information to make sure we have a way to get in touch with you regarding the event you have a ticket for. We keep your Ticketing Email seperate from our general mailing and member lists. This means that we will not send you marketing emails to an email you provide only for ticketing.
You will notice that your tickets have ticket numbers. This helps us understand both who is attending our events and importantly how many people are attending our events. We can use this information to figure out our venue requirements and event requirements in the future.
