The Seoul Meta Week Organizing Office values personal information and complies with the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, etc.

  • Name, email, address, contact number, date of birth, gender, affiliation/school, registration path
  • For individuals under 13: guardian relationship, guardian's email, guardian's name, guardian's contact number

  • To identify users for service use and manage registration information
  • To provide updates and notifications related to the forum

Retention and Use Period of Personal Information & Disposal

  • Collected personal information will be retained and used from the date of registration.
  • Retention period: up to 3 years after the end of the event.
  • Personal information will be securely deleted using the methods below:
    • Paper records: shredded or incinerated
    • Electronic files: permanently deleted using non-recoverable methods

Seoul Meta Week delegates some tasks to third parties to provide smooth information delivery and registration services.
We take all necessary measures to ensure that personal information is safely managed, including evaluating the capability of entrusted companies and regularly checking their compliance with data protection regulations.

Rights and Responsibilities of the Data Subject
Data subjects may view and correct their personal information at any time, and may withdraw consent or unsubscribe from notifications.
They are also responsible for protecting their own information. The Seoul Meta Week Organizing Office is not liable for damages caused by the user’s negligence (e.g., leaving a device logged in, sharing access credentials) or by hacking or other issues beyond our reasonable control, despite having taken sufficient protective measures.

Data subjects must keep their information accurate and up to date. The responsibility for any issues caused by inaccurate information lies with the data subject.
