Weston super Mare Cricket Club (WsMCC) takes the protection of the data we hold about our members seriously and we are committed to respecting their privacy. This notice is to explain how we may use personal information we collect, how we comply with the law on data protection and what your rights are.
FORMS - GENERAL
WsMCC will use all information provided on the player membership forms or online membership application to administer an individual’s cricketing and member activity at the club, and in any activities in which he/she participates through the club. WsMCC will hold a member’s details on file for subsequent seasons after joining to help manage our member database.
FORMS - DATA
We use the membership / online forms to collect the following data: name and date of birth, contact details (including those parents/guardians of WsMCC members), medical/specific requirements information, disability information, emergency contact details, along with video/photography and participation consent for WsMCC members. In addition for online membership sales, payments and processing your data will be shared with Stripe (our payment provider), Shopblocks (website provider), Ticket Tailor (online ticket provider) and Mailchimp (email newsletter provider). FORMS – PARENTAL CONSENT
Consent from a parent or legal guardian is required for a child to play cricket at WsMCC along with any associated activities. Consent is given via the membership form which includes the option of parental/guardian consent for players of WsMCC to play at senior level where appropriate. Details of consent will be shared with the appropriate WsMCC age group coaches, WsMCC captains, senior coaches and Club Welfare Officer, where necessary.
DISCLOSURE OF INFORMATION
A player’s details will be shared with the appropriate coaches, captains and officials of WsMCC to administer a player’s involvement in training sessions, matches and other cricketing activities, including club newsletters and event informtion. The clubs may be required to disclose information on a member to the County Board(s), league(s) or to the ECB in relation to player’s cricketing activity.
In the event of a medical or safeguarding issue, the club may disclose certain information to doctors, other medical specialists and/or police, children’s social care, the courts and or probation officers and potentially, to legal and other advisers involved in an investigation.
Membership of WsMCC entitles a player to membership benefits of the club therefore a cricket member’s name, date of birth and contact details will be shared with the Club Bar to enable a member’s card to be issued to receive the membership discount. This data is locally held securely on the club till system.
WsMCC will not pass on details contained in the registration form to anyone other than those outlined above.
DOCUMENTATION RELATING TO COACHES, OFFICIALS & VOLUNTEERS
WsMCC will keep a record of all coaches’ ECB qualifications, DBS Certificates, First Aid courses and Safeguarding qualifications.
WsMCC will keep a record of all persons within the clubs that require and hold a DBS check.
WsMCC will keep all details for as long as an individual holds a position at the club or remains a member. After this time, all documentation will be securely destroyed unless required to be retained by governance for Club Mark purposes.
DATA REQUESTS
An individual has the right to access the personal data that WsMCC has collected that concerns them. All data MUST be provided to the individual within a reasonable time of a request. An individual has the right to restrict, erase or rectify it or to object to our processing it, and the right of data portability.
