Create a holiday memory you don’t have to plan!
Come visit a display of imaginative gingerbread structures created by NYC architects and craft your own architect-designed gingerbread masterpiece in our festive workshop space, after visiting the exhibition. Our bespoke gingerbread houses are freshly handmade by local artisans, Padoca Bakery, and are designed especially for our NYC workshops.
Walk in festive and Walk out with something creative and delicious!- All materials included - No baking, no mess at home - and an hour of holiday magic!
Want to bring friends or another family with you to our festive workshop? You can buy a 2nd gingerbread house kit at half the price! Each house is great for 4 people to share and create. * With 2 house-kits, you can have up to 8 people in the workshop together*
Workshop Schedule
Workshops held on Saturdays and Sundays from December 6, with additional sessions from December 22 until January 4th.
Exhibition closed on December 25 and January 1.

About The Gingerbread City®
Originating in London, The Gingerbread City® is an annual exhibition celebrating the creativity of architects and designers, using gingerbread, icing, and candies to explore playful ideas in architecture and urban design. Now in its ninth year, each installment features a themed challenge that addresses current city planning issues through this sweet medium—perfect for the holiday season.
This experience is perfect for groups of up to four people bulding one gingerbread house, it's a guided, educational workshop, based on the principles of architecture and grounded in collaboration. Your group will enjoy The Gingerbread City exhibition before creating your own masterpiece. Children under 18 must be accompanied by a ticketed adult.
Our kits are freshly handmade by an award-winning baker, made to order for your booking. These perishable kits are not suitable for storage or future use, therefore all bookings are non-refundable but changeable - do it yourself using our Manage ticket button on the right side.
Workshop Ticket
$139 per house* - suitable for up to 4 people (Maximum 3 children in a group with ONE adult to build one house)
Includes all materials and one hour of creative fun.
*Booking fees are included; NYC sales tax applies at checkout

Workshop details
- Your session begins at the booked time for one hour. You may require less or more time to complete your structure.
- At the end of your one hour-long workshop, we’ll pack up your creation for you to take home to finish.
- Suitable for children aged 3 and up with adult supervision.
- Tickets are non-refundable but changeable using the Manage Ticket button on our booking page. If you cannot attend, email us to arrange pickup of your gingerbread kit(s).
Visitor guidelines
- No coat room or storage; please avoid bringing large bags, backpacks, suitcases, bicycles, or scooters. We will do our best to accommodate pushchairs for babies.
- No food or drinks allowed inside; guide dogs only.
- Some structures contain nuts—please ask us for allergy info upon arrival.
- Photographs, videos, or recordings for commercial purposes require prior permission.
- No dangerous items allowed.
- We reserve the right to deny entry or ask visitors to leave without refund if necessary.
- The exhibition may close or restrict access at any time without prior notice or compensation.
- Please stay home if unwell to help us keep everyone safe.
